How this estimate works

Trip distance (doubled for a round trip) is divided by mileage in the fuel's own unit, multiplied by the price per unit, and added to tolls, parking and other costs.

Formula

Fuel used = distance ÷ mileage (L, kg or kWh)
Trip cost = fuel used × price + tolls + parking + other
Per person = trip cost ÷ people

Limitations

Fuel prices are entered by you; no live feed is used.
Traffic, speed, AC and load change real mileage.
